HOW IT WORKS

We use a sonde-equipped sewer camera and an electromagnetic locating receiver. The camera travels through the pipe with a small transmitter (the sonde) at its head. From above ground, our receiver picks up the sonde signal and pinpoints the pipe exact position and depth at every point along the run. We mark the route on the surface with paint and flags, and give you the depth readings.

Because the camera is in the pipe while we locate it, you also get a live look at the pipe condition — roots, cracks, offsets, bellies — in the same visit.

WHY DIG SAFE IS NOT ENOUGH

Maine Dig Safe (811) is required before any excavation — but it only marks public utilities up to your property line. Your sewer lateral and water service line on private property are your responsibility, and 811 will not locate them. That is the gap we fill: a private-side locate so your contractor, landscaper, or excavator knows exactly what is below before the bucket hits the ground.
