We begin by inspecting the inside of the sewer line with professional camera equipment. This helps locate root growth and identify other conditions such as cracks, separated joints, corrosion, buildup, or damaged sections. A camera inspection allows our team to understand the actual condition of the pipe before determining the appropriate cleaning or repair approach.
Once the root intrusion has been located, specialized root-cutting equipment can be used to break through the root mass and reopen the sewer line. The goal is to remove the obstruction while working through an existing access point whenever possible, helping reduce unnecessary excavation.
After the major root growth has been removed, additional cleaning may be recommended to clear remaining root fragments and accumulated debris. Depending on the condition of the line, other cleaning methods may be appropriate to improve the usable opening inside the pipe.
After cleaning, another camera inspection can verify the condition of the sewer line and confirm whether the obstruction has been cleared. This inspection can also help determine whether the pipe has structural damage that may require additional attention.
